Awesome bike, regardless of cost, and at 1435 it's a great value.
Eric takes the time to configure the bike to your riding needs/style, stem lenght, crank lenght, handlebar size.

Am a recreational rider who tours, average 40-50 miles a day on week ends, and this bike provide everything I need to have fun in group rides.

I purchased my fire engine red Zing in the fall of 1997 and have now put over 1500 miles on it. I love this bike. Eric Sampson was very helpful in making sure I got the proper fit and the bike was a terrific value, including full ultegra and spinergy wheels for under $1500 delivered (on special). Sampson is very willing to substitute parts the CUSTOMER wants when spec-ing the bike. IMO, Sampson is truly one of the best kept secrets in the bike business. The frames are built by the famous Nottingham Frame Shop in the UK using Reynolds tubing. The ride of the Zing is almost plush and it doesn't beat you up on long rides like some framesets will. If I have a complaint, it is that at 185 lbs., I sometimes get a bit of bottom bracket flex when I stand and stomp on the pedals. On balance, I'll take this tradeoff. This bike is like getting a custom ride at bike shop prices. Bicyclist magazine has a nice review on its website (www.bicyclist.com). This one's a five star ride for touring, centuries and multi day events. However, the BB flex may make it less effective as a sprint racer.
