    Strength:

Phenomenal bicycle at this pricepoint! Generally high quality components and a fabulous sturdy frame! Super-smooth shifting Ultegra derailleurs and excellent stopping power from Avid BB5 disc brakes. I prefer mechanical Avid discs over hydraulics. These rock.

I am able to keep up with the roadies on my local paved trails on this baby.

    Weakness:

The Tektro brake handles have an annoying rattle! My bottom bracket started squeaking after only about 100 miles. I will probably swap them out to a higher quality BB. The wheels are cheap but sturdy. I notice some flexing under load but this might be because of the disc brake adaptor from my OMM pannier rack. I can't complain at this price.

I've used the Corrida Ultimate for my daily commuter, all purpose grocery-getter, and at times, weekend leisure ride. I'm so lucky to have gotten one for $799 on clearance. For the price I paid, it is truly a sweet sweet ride. I think you would pay about twice the price for a similarly equipped flat handle road bike at your LBS in 2008.

5 flaming chilis for superb value!

    Strength:

Great quality components and disc brakes.

    Weakness:

Long brake cables needed to be zip-tied but they were provided. Nice touch.

I received my Ibex Corrida Ultimate last night and after about 20 minutes was riding it. This marvel of engineering came with the tools to assemble and all quality components. This is my first flat handlebar bike in about fifty years so time is needed to write an honest review but so far it has been fun. I recommend this rig to anyone.

I rode a Route 66 which I also liked but the Corrida came with disc brakes and Ultegra rear shifter.

    Strength:

Level of equipment is exceptional for the price. Dollar per pound ratio far exceeds anything available locally. Response time from IBEX is exceptional.

    Weakness:

User manual is generic, and somewhat incomplete, especially in the threadless headset adjustment area.

Arrived 3 days after order - internet sales only. Had to mount front wheel , bar and stem, seat post and inflate tires. Derailleurs already adjusted. Disc brakes needed minor adjustment, which was educational. Many component datasheets included with bike, along with multi-tool and touch-up paint. Bike is light (22 lbs with pedals), fast, responsive and comfortable. It took about 4 hours to assemble, read all the manuals and data sheets and check torque settings on bolts. Rode 50 miles the first day! Totally satisfied with price / quality ratio and design / fabrication of bike.

    Strength:

Relatively high-end parts; cost is a bargain; customer service is friendly and very helpful; trigger shifters and disc brakes are sweet! Lots of goodies come with the bike: touch-up paint; hex tools, pedal tool.

    Weakness:

I felt that the grips and bar were a bit narrow for my taste; there's also not much one can do to alter position of bars other than flipping the stem completely. Also, buying on-line is a little scary; more pictures on website would be nice, or a place to actually touch the bikes!!

Very wary of buying on-line, but this bike was as advertised; there are no surprises. Excellent hybrid, but more inclined toward pavement than gravel. Bike is nimble, soaks up rough pavement well using slightly wider tires (85lbs air); it flies over smooth pavement; very slick shifting; disc brakes are awesome! Much more responsive than what I'm used to; I've almost swerved off just turning my head to look over my shoulder! I can easily keep up with most other riders on more expensive bikes.

None, I had a Nishiki 12spd, but my wife just bought a Specialized Sirrus Sport, which is almost identical, only heavier and uses cheaper parts (she wouldn't buy on-line) A good bike, but the Ibex is better!!

    Strength:

It's hard to find any particular strenghts because the whole bike is amazing. -Sweet deal! -Customer service -Components

    Weakness:

I haven't found any myself. There are two things that IBEX itself told me about (again, I consider this great customer service, it's actually more of a strength then a weakness from this point of view): 1. Difficult to install a rack 2. Mountainbike brakes don't allow changing the flat handlebar to a "true" road bike handlebar for a reasonable price None of these issues will ever concern me. Both problems have been solved for the 2005 model.

First of all: I thought that ordering a bike online is tricky - this is not true at all with IBEX. I experienced the most incredible customer service (to make a long story short: Check out the "about us" on their website!). Great selection of components: I didn't find any weak/cheap parts; it's all Richey, TruVativ etc. Component highlights: EVO carbon fork Hayes MX-1 XC Mechanical Disc Brakes Dura Ace Rear Derailleur Very smooth and fast ride; it's my commuter bike and makes it a true joy to ride to work! If I raced it, it would give my Cannondale Multisport 2000 Tri bike a hard time ;-). IBEX pays a lot of attention to the details. The bike was very well boxed. It actually also comes with touch-up paint, a multi-tool, front, rear and side reflectors etc.
