DeRosa king 3 Road Bike

DESCRIPTION

I just got my new king 3 from de rosa and i love it. it is built with record and has fulcrum racing one wheels. I have owned Colnago, Wilier, and Pinarello before i bought this bike. none of them compare to the handling and agility it has. i would highly recommend it

Strength:

Aesthtics, paint design, stiffness, climbing geometry

Weakness:

imperfections on paint job (truly a handmade piece)

The King 3 is a gorgeous frame...I consider it as a climbing bike due to its sloping top tube geometry..My bike is set up with Campy Super record 11 and Fulcrum Zero wheels with red spokes which is a perfect match to the white frame with a red racing stripe on the top of the top tube. It sprints like a cheetah. I had a slightly longer stem setup where the front of the bike really came to life.

Strength:

Light, responsive, gorgeous paint scheme.

Weakness:

Paint scratches easily. The top tube internal cable tends to rattle

The King 3 is a very responsive frame. Handling is super sensitive, especially in the front end. It both climbs and accelerates exceptionally well. Riders must stay on top of the ride else it will get away from you in a heartbeat. It’s not a frame for the faint-of-heart. The ride could be a bit stiffer, especially in a sprint. I have the white paint with a red racing strip. People comment frequently that it’s a drop-dead gorgeous frame, although the paint is really soft and scratches easily.
