Strength:

Great photos

Weakness:

Almost total Euro focus despite the title of the American version

Have subsribed for 8 years and love the photos but the writing gets a bit annoying. The US version is called CycleSport America but its not edited for this side of the pond. I wrote a letter to the editor about the use of British slang which I do not understand. THe letter was published but was heavliy edited and the issue was not addressed. The "free" videos for subscribers is novce but the videos on offer arent the best.

Strength:

Phil! Good writing (with a Brit accent) and coverage of just about everything. An informed readership (judging by the letters to the editor) ensures that you are in good company.

Weakness:

The typeface! Small for the most part and sometimes too light - often merging into the background.

Probably the best single magazine for the serious road cyclist. Good articles on the people and races around the world. Specific updates from correspondents in France, Italy and Germany.

Strength:

The coverage of the Pros and product reviews.

Weakness:

It's expensive, I'd subscribe if it was a little cheaper but its hard to justify 60 bucks to the wife.

I was so happy when a US version of this magazine began selling here. Just a great magazine and I'm not even a Roadie.

Strength:

photography, some articles, lack of advertising. Good coverage of ''life in the peloton''

Weakness:

productreviews are pathetic, too much TDF coverage (about 7 months of it), not enough info on website links.

Since the departure of ''The old Pro remembers'' segment,NOT the best bicyclemagazine out there. There are good articles to read, sure, good no excellent photography, BUT you will be reading 3 months of pre-TDF articles, 1 month of actual TDF coverage, and then another 3 months of @#$%TDF post-mortem articles. The product review articles are extremely superficial, and basically useless due to essential info often missing. (eg frame review will lack frame sizes available info). Lack of advertising means missing out on good websites to log on to, etc. If you are looking for a magazine that is the oposite to all the above and still British and still giving you excellent coverage and in depths info on major races try "Procycling". Similar cost, definitely a much more informative and varied rag, with product reviews by Robert Millar, Q and A to R. Millar, in short much better value.

Many crappy australian magazines, unfortunately not worth spending $ on compared to CS or procycling
