    Strength:

    Comfortable all around wheel

    Weakness:

    Did have problem with spokes.

Great all around wheel, fast in the climbs. Very comfortable wheel to ride. Has held up well for couple thousand miles. Do have to have wheel trued perhaps twice a year.

    Strength:

Weight, nice supple ride and the understated looks. Typically Campag high quality hubs.

    Weakness:

I bought a pair of the original 98 model with champagne coloured rims - after about 3 months a drive-side spoke on the rear broke, rendering the wheel unrideable due to the low spoke count. I obtained some spare spokes and retrued the wheel three times - each time following another spoke breakage. Called Select Cycles (U.K. Official Campag Service Centre) for a complete spoke kit - they couldn't get any but offered to replace the wheels with a new set under guarantee for the price of shipping. Now have pair of new model, which are lighter and better looking than the original with black hubs and rims. Turns out there's a inherent flaw in some of the spokes of the original model - so if you've got any - return them to Campag for a new pair whilst still under guarantee.

A great all-round wheel - forget deep section rims unless you want to lose your teeth. Campag managed to get the design sorted out and do offer good technical support. The quality of the hubs means that the wheels should last. A lot lighter than most Shimano / Rolf - some of the Rolf hubs are pretty low quality. For the most supple ride - Nucleons with sew-ups are the best and are a little lighter - just make sure you're ready to cough-up for a new tub every time you flat.

Also have Mavic Open Pro on Record hubs. Ridden Rolf, Shimano etc.

Absolutely superb wheel. I use them for racing, training, basically everything over Irish mountain roads which are often little more that cart tracks. V.Highly recommended.
